Helping Other Pest Control Professionals in Need

Every day, members of the pest control industry, work tirelessly to protect the health, property and environment of our customers. However, each year, someone within our industry will find themselves struggling due to tragedy. Whether due to the loss of a loved one, catastrophic illness, or debilitating accident; these faithful servants of the industry often find themselves struggling both emotionally, as well as financially.

Arrow Exterminators® Pledges a Continued Donation to The Hands United Foundation

Atlanta-based Arrow Exterminators recently announced their pledged donation to The Hands United Foundation that was created by the Georgia Pest Control Association (GPCA) in 2017. Arrow has committed to donate $5,000 each year for the next five years, to equal $25,000, in order to benefit families of the GPCA, the Certified Control Operators of Georgia, and the general Georgia pest control industry that have been affected by catastrophic or life changing events.

Brett Craig and Pasha Simpson, two of Arrow’s team members, have been hard at work ensuring the success and outreach for this notable cause. In early July, the duo hosted a Hands United Foundation Celebration where they raised money through games, food, and providing a great location for the 4th of July fireworks in Woodstock, GA. Through this fundraiser they were able to raise over $500 worth of donation money. Along with this event, Arrow Exterminators has also supported the foundation by sponsoring a golf tournament hosted by GPCA, where a portion of the proceeds benefitted this admirable cause.

about the logo

Inspired by Life, Envisioned by A Mission,
Embodied by An Artist

The Hands United Foundation Logo was birthed by the same inspiration from which the foundation was created which is “Life happens!” The logo throughout the founding of the foundation took on many forms trying to find that one image that would make a simple statement like our mission statement, “Giving Hope when life happens.” In every revision, it had three things remained consistent in every revision: It was a circle, the colors were blue and green, and it showed hands united.

The Circle

The circle throughout history has been a symbol of eternity and hope; as well as, it is a token of commitment as symbolized in an engagement ring, and a wedding band of an everlasting relationship. Our vision is that the foundation will continue to grow and will endure throughout the ages to serve those members and their families in need in the most devastating times of life.

The Color

The colors of the logo begin as a blending of ideas in the very infancy of the vision of the foundation but today they rest in the meaning of the colors throughout the ages as they embody the message of our mission to provide hope and peace in life’s most disturbing moments. Blue is the color of the sky and sea. It is often associated with depth and stability. It symbolizes trust, loyalty, wisdom, confidence, intelligence, faith, truth, and heaven. Blue is strongly associated with tranquility and calmness. Green is the color of nature. It symbolizes growth, harmony, freshness, and fertility. Green has strong emotional correspondence with safety. The utilization of the two colors symbolizes the character of our foundation to be found stable, trusted, sincere, and vigilant to help those in need.

The Shape

When you view the logo imagine looking down from above and viewing two persons with hands united encompassing a troubled soul and providing them comfort and hope. This was the artist, Marissa Chastain, view when she created the design that so simply embodies our mission statement, “Giving hope when life happens.
